OUR ACCOMMODATION
THE LONG HOUSE
Dating back to 17th Century, our characterful Yorkshire longhouse is located in the vibrant market town of Pickering situated in this special corner of England at the edge of the moors. The Longhouse is a spacious, comfortable retreat, offering a fantastic base for family and friends to meet up and socialise, whilst the surrounding area offers plentiful opportunities for days out and activities. Pickering is best known for its heritage railway but there are many other attractions including a castle, a weekly market, a museum as well as a bustling high street with cafes, shops, pubs, restaurants and even an ice cream parlour, all selling fresh, local produce.
We are lucky to be situated at the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park, an amazingly rich landscape and an inspiring place to visit, with wide sweeps of open heather mÅoorland, picturesque dales and quaint villages with excellent tea shops. We also have nearby the dramatic Yorkshire coastline with majestic cliffs, sheltered harbour villages and fantastic sandy beaches.
